Determination of visa status

•    If the course is 18 hours* or fewer per week, no student visa is required, regardless of length of stay. 
      *an hour is 60 minutes

Information we need for F1 visas

Please note that we need the following in order to process the I20 application:

1. A written application faxed or emailed to OISE Boston, which includes Country of Birth.
2. Proof of financial ability. Original documentation is required to prove that a student can pay for the course and for living expenses. A recent bank statement is the most usual form of proof. If the client’s company or other organization will pay for the course, a letter from the company to that effect is sufficient. Note that some schools do not ask for this documentation, but in fact it is required by law.
3. A deposit of $500 or full payment.
