Assessing Your Progress
We want to make sure you are making progress during your studies here. And we want you to be able to measure your progress, too. So we include the following assessment tools in your course.
At the end of each week, your instructors will check your progress using a variety of methods: written test, essay, presentation, etc.
The aim of weekly assessment is to help you understand your strong and weak points, where you have made good progress, and which areas you still need to work on.
For our longer term students, we administer a standardized test at the beginning and the end of the course. This helps students recognize their progress in structure, reading, vocabulary, and listening over the long term; and it provides motivation in the form of a goal to strive for.
When you have completed a level of study, we will administer a skill-based test to ensure that you are ready to progress to the next level.
At the end of your course, your instructors will rate your level of English according to the Commmon European Assessment Framework. You will be rated on the six point scale the Common European Assessment Framework (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) in the following areas:
Listening
Reading
Spoken interaction
Spoken production
Writing
All students receive a certificate on their final day, and this includes a detailed report on their level at the end of their course. T
